Mario Botta did visit Belgium for a lecture and a meeting with “12 (Belgian) apostles of the good taste”… One of the 12 was Raymond van het Groenewoud, prince of the Flemish song.
Mister Raymonds performance was pure beauty, was 100% Vlaemsch()… Some things never change… And I’m still enjoying…
For Bram Boo (born 1971 in Brussels), his aim as a designer is to produce pieces that constantly surprise the user, with a focus on functionality and flexibility so that the object adapts itself to the surrounding space and to the need of the moment!

On the 24th of November, Casimir the founder of Vlaemsch() will join a lecture/discussion with Mario Botta in Leuven Belgium together with a lot of other “famous” belgian architects and artists like Paul Robberecht, Hilde Deam, Piet Stockmans and others.
For details, see the invitation below, sorry it is in Dutch only, but the lecture will be translated I guess. I can’t imagine Mario Botta to speak Dutch…

But of course in a way this could be expected, the Deer and Moose have to be assembled by yourself, so the DIY-spirit is part of the game. And the nyou end up with results like this:
Apparently it’s a wallpaper of the NewZealand popstar Tasha Baxter.
Go figure out her music at her MySpace spot where you can download the wallpaper as well: http://www.myspace.com/tashabaxteremi
